Mary Crider
Voice and Piano Instructor
Mary is excited to join the YPAC family and return to teaching voice and piano after being in healthcare for the past 12 years. Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education at Manchester University. During her time in university she was honored to sing with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, worked as the band manager, studied for a semester at the College of Saint Paul and Saint Mary’s in Cheltenham England, and backpacked through Europe. Mary went on to receive her Masters of Arts in music at Governors State University with concentrated studies in conducting and vocal pedagogy. After university, Mary has had a variety of experiences and projects that she has been a part of. She opened her music studio and taught private lessons for over 25 years. Her music studio combined forces with The Dance Studio Ltd in Homer Glen and worked as partners for many years. Together they established The Children’s Performance Company which focused on children’s musical theater productions for the community. As of recently, Mary has been involved in worship leadership roles and has been a leader of a Celebrate Recovery ministry. During her free time, Mary enjoys traveling, photography, going on adventures in her Jeep, and loving on her grandchildren.
